When we're not in physical distancing mode, we use the St Andrew's church buildings in Wahroonga for a range of activities that help us encourage each other to live life to the full with Jesus as Lord, and share the message of hope about Jesus with people around us.
We have our three Sunday gatherings:
8 am is a traditional service with relevant preaching, stirring liturgy, and the Lord's Supper most weeks, and morning tea together afterwards.
10 am is a contemporary service with modern music, engaging preaching and parallel programs for kids and youth. Infinity is for kids who haven't yet started school, involving learning about the gospel through songs and lessons and craft. Kids Church is for kindy to year 5 kids and they get to play games, do craft activities and learn more about Jesus from the Bible. The Vine Sunday is youth church for those in year 6 to year 9 with games, songs and a talk from the Bible.
Night Church at 6 pm is a contemporary service which involves great music, great preaching and great community. We have dinner together a couple of times a month.
Small Groups are how the St Andrew’s church family shares life together during the week. They are the place where the word we have heard together on Sunday follows us into the week:
- where God’s word is applied to our lives,
- where we pray with and for each other,
- where friendships and opportunities to serve each other grow.
Small groups usually consist of 5-10 people and generally meet once a week for around 2 hours. Many groups meet in homes; some use space at the church, and each have a couple of leaders.
Mainly Music runs on Wednesday mornings for toddlers and their carers. It's a great program of music and movement.
The Stand is a great time of fun, afternoon tea and Bible teaching for kids in years 3 to 5.
Club 66 is a special group for year 6 students where we play some games and do an engaging, relevant Bible study together.
The Stand and Club 66 run on Fridays during term time, 4 pm - 5:15 pm.
The Vine Youth Group is about connecting high schoolers with Jesus.
Everyday English is an English conversation class.
Prime Time is a lunch with a speaker and great conversation.
